We consult across the board in many wide and varied areas within Pharma.

For example, one area we have done quite a bit of recent consulting on is virtual Pharma. Our Client was a Pharmaceutical company who was looking to expand into a new market in which they planned to only initially market one orphan drug brand that was approved for that market. They required consulting to examine two different business models, each designed to optimize the commercialization of this Orphan Drug in the five key European Pharmaceutical markets. These models were comparing:

a) Model Alpha will focus on a developed risk/investment minimization business model incorporating e-marketing, specialized distribution, a minimum marketing and sales force and outsourcing.

b) Model Beta will be a conventional European multi-country Pharmaceutical company business model incorporating standard in-house functions.

c) Model Gamma which would be a combination of the above two models.

This project’s first phase was designed to provide the Client with specific information and expert recommendations to help the management select the optimal business model which best fit their company’s specific set of Corporate investment, product and timing needs. Future Phases included the development of a detailed Pharma Business Plan for creating the organization, and launching the Orphan drug in key European Markets, as well as implementation of the Pharma Business Plan and extension of the Business Model in Europe beyond the 5 key markets.
